Wedding Information

The first step in preparing for a wedding is to ensure you have filled out a "Notice of Intended Marriage" and this must be returned to the marriage celebrant at least one calendar month and a day prior to the wedding.
The wedding contract you sign prior to your wedding and on your wedding day are the most important and binding legal documents you will sign through out your lives. They are a legal commitment to loyalty, care and support. Your ceremony should reflect the significance of this occasion. A copy of the "Notice of Intended Marriage" can be downloaded here. Before the wedding I will need to see your Birth Certificate if you were born in Australia, otherwise your passport. Also, if you have previously married, I'll need to see proof that you are no longer married.
The Apostille Stamp is necessary for the couples from Germany, Italy, Russia and the Netherlands to mention some, to have their marriage registered in their home country, otherwise it is not recognized by those countries. Robyn will arrange certified copies of your marriage certificate, plus the Apostille stamp if necessary from the Department of Foreign Affairs.
